One of Valiant Entertainment’s superheroes is getting revived for a new age, as Night Dive Studios is hard at work in remastering the 1999 video game Shadow Man and calling it “Shadow Man Remastered” — setting their sights on improving the game by overhauling its control system, improving the A.I., and including content that was cut from the original release.

Releasing a brand new trailer to demonstrate the changes in store for the game, this remaster is a definite high-res and upscaled improvement over the original game — which was released for the PC, PS1, and Sega Dreamcast in late 1999. Night Dive Studios actually ported that version and re-released it for PC in March of 2013, so this new undertaking is a breath of fresh air for anyone who has yet to try the game for themselves. In addition to fixing the controls and A.I. behavior, the developers are adding 4k resolution, improved shadow mapping, and anti-aliasing, as well as remastering the entire soundtrack for the game.

No release date has been given for Shadow Man Remastered, but it will see release for the PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
