While there’s no planned DLC for Resident Evil 7, it seems Capcom has released a new Resident Evil update 1.07 patch, and it applies to the Gold Edition too, which owners should see Resident Evil 7 update 1.02.

New Resident Evil 7 update 1.07 patch notes:

All it says is (via the update history):

  • Fixed certain bugs and issues

Unfortunately, Capcom has not said anything about this patch and what it does. Could this be somehow tied into Resident Evil Village’s presence later this month at the Tokyo Game Show digital event? It could be, but I wouldn’t count on it. We’re on the lookout for offiical notes and will update the post if we spot any changes or if Capcom releases them.

If you find what bugs it fixes, head on below in the comments and let us know. We’ll check it out and if it’s legit, we’ll update the post and credit the sender.

In other Resident Evil news, the original PS1 Resident Evil CD cover character has been revealed, and nope, it’s not Chris Redfield! Read on here for more about that. Also, there was a game titled Biohazard Village that appeared on Steam that’s NOT associated with the franchise or Capcom, so be careful about being duped.
