Platinum Games made a surprise announcement yesterday when they revealed a Kickstarter campaign for The Wonderful 101 Remaster Edition. Unsurprisingly, the title has since broken many of its stretch goals that now ensure that the title will be available on many new platforms.
The Wonderful 101 was originally released in 2013, exclusively for the Nintendo Wii U and since then many fans have been requesting Nintendo to offer a remastered version for the Nintendo Switch. Well, it finally happened, as Nintendo gave Platinum Games the ok, only if they could find the funding themselves, which they have with this new Kickstarter campaign. As of writing this, the campaign is sitting at an astonishing 1.2 million dollars with it rapidly increasing to the next stretch goals.
So far it has broken four of its stretch goals, three of which were to get the title on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PC (via Steam). There is currently no news on whether or not the title would see a release on the Xbox One at this time as the other goals are centered around bringing additional content to the game.
