If you thought The Last of Us was already dealing with adult themes, it seems that the sequel — The Last of Us: Part II — will hike it up a notch. The Last of Us 2 ESRB rating has been released, and it references “Sexual Content” as being part of the game.

The Last of Us 2 got an M 17+ rating from teh ESRB, which should surprise no one. Those wondering what the differences are between “Sexual Themes” and “Sexual Content” for the ESRB, here it is:

Sexual Content – Non-explicit depictions of sexual behavior, possibly including partial nudity.

Sexual Themes – References to sex or sexuality.

You can check out The Last of Us 2’s official website to see the ESRB (Entertainment Software Ratings Board) rating for the game. We snapped a screenshot of it too.

Does this mean we’ll see actual nudity and sex in the game? If the rating is any indication, then that’s a yes. Hopefully, it’s done in good taste and not in the game for shock factor. This is Naughty Dog though, and I doubt they’d resort to shock tactics since they don’t really need to.

The Last of Us 2 will hit the PS4 this May 29, 2020 since it’s been delayed again. If you want something to whet appetites, go watch the latest gameplay video we have of it.
