Looks like an amazing win came to Sony Interactive Entertainment, PlayStation Studios, and Insomniac Games before the end of last year, as Spider-Man: Miles Morales has reportedly sold 4.1 million units since being released on November 2020.
According to Sony’s Q3 Fiscal Year 2020 results, the follow up to 2018’s Spider-Man game by Insomniac Games contributed to big sales for PS4 and PS5 units, with total unit sales reaching as much as 103.7 million. Miles also joins the first party sales tally, which goes for a total of 18.4 million units sold.
This is definitely a big win for Sony and Insomniac Games — who hold the license to create Spider-Man games and which makes that property a PlayStation exclusive. Spider-Man: Miles Morales released for both the PS4 and PS5, and takes place one year after the events of the 2018 game. Having trained extensively under Peter Parker, Miles is given the responsibility of protecting New York City by his mentor when he goes out of the country for an assignment. With help from his fellow tech friend Ganke, Miles builds up his reputation as a hero as well as a new suit — taking on new threats and a conspiracy that could endanger his home in Harlem as a new kind of Spider-Man.
Speaking of Spider-Man: Miles Morales, a new update in Pacth 1.08 recently swung in for the PS4.
