We’re just weeks away from the PS5 launch and the release of Insomniac Games new Spidey game in Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, and Game Informer has released a new article detailing just how the game is optimized for Sony’s new system.
Speaking with creative director Brian Horton and art director Gavin Golden of Insomniac Games, we learned that the PS5 will drastically alter the experience of playing Spider-Man: Miles Morales in five ways:
- No loading screens
- The world features a higher level of graphical fidelity
- The performances will seem more believable
- The action is smoother and more explosive
- Combat is more immersive thanks to the PS5 controller
While the game will be available to PS4 players and plays great as well, Insomniac Games did put emphasis on the experience being on par but drastically different as well:
“As a gameplay experience, the two versions should feel in parity. It’s not like one game feels much different than the other, but those enhancements that we’re talking about, really add up to make it feel like the definitive Spider-Man experience is on PlayStation 5. The PlayStation 4 version feels great and looks pretty, but it really is a binary difference when you play the PS5 version.”

Spider-Man: Miles Morales will be released for the PS5 and PS4 on November 12.
