With just a few weeks to go before it starts swinging to PlayStation consoles alongside the launch of the PS5, Spider-Man: Miles Morales is delivering the hype and excitement to come thanks to a bevy of new updates and posts being released by Insomniac Games and Game Informer. Of course, Sony has also added some clever marketing campaigns to flesh out the world inhabited by our hero, and now we have a series of articles detailing what the public thinks of the “new Spider-Man” swinging around New York City.
Courtesy of the official PlayStation website, here is a collection of stories from the Daily Bugle — the fictional newspaper chain that serves as the workplace of Mary Jane Watson and former employer of Peter Parker, aka the Amazing Spider-Man.
The articles serve as a way for new players to catch up with the events of 2018’s “Marvel’s Spider-Man” — as well as shifting the focus over to Miles Morales and his time as Peter’s protege after gaining spider powers of his own. It’s a great tie-in tool to expand the game’s universe, with stories written by Spider-Man supporting characters Ben Urich and Robbie Robertson.
