Spider-Man: Miles Morales is coming to both the PS5 and PS4 systems, as revealed today by Sony and Insomniac Games in the official PlaySation Blog where a recap of the new gameplay demo and other important information about the new expansion were revealed.
The gameplay demo reveals new visuals that take full advantage of the PS5’s capabilities, as detailed below:
Beyond the thrilling gameplay, the gameplay video also shows off some of the amazing visuals that are available for the game on PS5. We are taking advantage of the next-generation in many more ways as well for the PS5. From the silky smooth targeted 60fps frame rate Performance Mode, to feeling the bio-electric venom energy course through your fingertips via the haptic feedback of the DualSense controller, to hearing Marvel’s New York surround you in lush 3D audio*, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales will be a showpiece for the PlayStation 5.
While Miles Morales looks impressive in the upcoming new console, Sony made a surprise confirmation that the game will also be released on PS4 for current generation system owners who cannot migrate to the new platform. The game will be released on PS5 launch day on November 12 and will retail for $49.99.
Additionally, an Ultimate Edition for the PS5 was also announced — retailing for $69.99 and will include “Marvel’s Spider-Man: Remastered” as a voucher code. This new version of the 2018 PS4 exclusive will contain new visual and graphic enhancements, new suits and trophies, and all three DLC installments of Marvel’s Spider-Man: The City That Never Sleeps in addition to the main game. That’s quite the package for anyone looking to get a PS5 on Day One and enjoy some webslinging adventures as your friendly neighborhood wallcrawlers.
