If you haven’t played The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim just yet, you might want to hold off on doing so until the next-gen version drops. While Bethesda has made no announcement, an Amazon listing for Skyrim PS5 called “The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition” has surfaced.
Note that this is not a guarantee that The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim will appear on PS5, but given how these game listings work, there’s a huge possibilty that it’s legit. And it even has the proper PS5 box art too, as revealed earlier today.
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim was originally released in 2011 for the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3, and was re-released on the PS4 and Xbox One in 2016, with a Nintendo Switch version dropping in 2017.
Update: Updated the post by linking to the actual person/account who spotted the game.
Update #2: It has come to our knowledge that this is a hoax. Not saying Bethesda isn’t doing anything like this, but for now though, yeah, this isn’t something that’s going to be announced anytime soon.
