Could a new Silent Hill game be announced soon? While we can’t say that for certain, Konami seems to have something planned as the official Silent Hill Twitter account has been created by the company.

While the franchise has been around for ages, the official Silent Hill Twitter account was just created this July. The pinned tweet, which is usually about a game announcement or something, shows fan art.

Note that this is indeed the official one even if it’s not verified (since Twitter isn’t verifying accounts for now), as the official Konami Twitter account linked to it as well.

Yep, that definitely makes it legit!

For reference, the latest mainline Silent Hill game was Silent Hill Downpour which was released for the PS3 and Xbox 360 way back in 2012. Of course, if you want to be technical, the highly respected PS4 demo P.T., which was supposed to be called Silent Hills from Hideo Kojima was technically the last one, though it is only a demo.

Nonetheless, we’re hopeful this means that a new Silent Hill game will be announced soon.

If you need more horror in your life, there is a new Resident Evil game called Resident Evil Village, and there’s info about that available now.
