It looks like the creator of Silent Hill and Gravity Rush is itching to do a horror game related video game again, as IGN reports that Keiichiro Toyama has shared details on his upcoming new game with his new studio Bokeh Game Studio.
When asked whether the new title would be reminiscent of Silent Hill or Siren, Toyama has stated that his upcoming game will be open to a broader audience.
“If anything, this will be more of a horror-oriented game. But we will focus on making this a broader entertainment experience, rather than a hardcore horror game.”
With a 2023 release window as well as having a fairly “large team” working on the project, Toyama and Bokeh Studio have stated that they are “developing with the PC as the lead platform”, but are also aiming to release this horror game to other systems as well.
“We’re just entering prototype development, and development will probably take nearly three years. So we hope to get this game into your hands in about three years from now.”
Here’s looking forward to more updates on this new title from one of the fathers of one of the best survival horror series ever made.
