Nearly 18 years after it was originally released for the Playstation 2 and became the first Shin Megami Tensei title to be localized in the west, “Shin Megami Tensei 3: Nocturne” is getting an HD Remaster for the Playstation 4 and Nintendo Switch — and will be released this year in Japan on October 29 with a western release to follow sometime in Spring.

To promote things, Atlus has a brand new trailer up that is all parts creepy and epic. The game puts players in control of their character — a High School student who is transformed into the Demi-fiend after the world is thrust into Conception and demonic forces seek to remake it in their own image.

Based on the second director’s cut release of SMT 3 titled “Shin Megami Tensei 3: Nocturne Maniax Chronicle,” Nocture HD will include the additional features cut from the original release as well as the extras, including a special guest character who was in the original Nocturne Maniax director’s cut but was omitted from Chronicle: Dante from Capcom’s Devil May Cry series.
