Resident Evil Village may come to PS4 and Xbox One, as the makers of the game hinted at the possibility of the latest installment hitting current generation consoles during Capcom’s Special Program presentation at the Tokyo Game Show.
During their panel presentation, the developer shared their insights and gave fans some teases and background information on what to expect from the game, answering lingering questions as to why they wanted to set it in a village and trying to make the game as scary as possible. While they initially announced that the game was set to be released only for the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, they are also looking to the possibility of releasing the game for PS4 and Xbox One users as well.
However they reminded fans this is not yet confirmed, and they’re still looking into that prospect and can’t guarantee things just yet as reported by Biohazardcast.com.
As part of the TGS festivities, Capcom revealed that Resident Evil Village could possibly be seeing a PS4 and Xbox One release as well as the PS5 and Xbox Series. This comes as a small surprise, given how heavily they’ve stressed that the game will take a toll on the hardware.
