Remember Prince of Persia? Ubisoft’s once beloved franchise that had a character do amazing parkour stunts before Assassin’s Creed became a big hit? It seems a new Prince of Persia game might be brewing at Ubisoft. Someone has registered the Prince of Persia 6 (princeofpersia6.com) domain!

While this doesn’t necessarily mean that a new Prince of Persia game will be announced anytime soon, there is the Microsoft Xbox Series X showcase this week, as well as the Summer Game Fest as well, which would be the perfect time to announce the franchise’s resurrection.

For those curious, the last mainline Prince of Persia game released was simply titled Prince of Persia, and was released way back in 2008 for the PS3 and Xbox 360. While Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands was released for the Wii back in 2010, it was mostly seen as a tie-in game to the 2010 movie.

Would you want to see Prince of Persia 6? If so, should it be a continuation of the excellent Sands of Time collection or something new entirely? Let us know your thoughts below.

Note that the latest update on Reddit mentions that it could be a fake given the domain registrar is GoDaddy instead of GandiSAS which is Ubisoft’s default registrar. It also mentions that the domain’s status code is “ClientHold,” which means the domain itself hasn’t been paid for just yet.
