Looks like we’re in for a big surprise from the folks at PlatinumGames, as co-founder Hideki Kamiya has teased that fans will be pleased with the as of yet unrevealed fifth mystery game the company is going to announce soon.
Talking with VGC during a recent interview, Kamiya stated that the fifth entry of the “Platinum 4” will be “smaller in scale”, but it will definitely please fans who have been following the works of the company.
“We want to reveal it at the right time, but what we can say at the moment is that this was always intended as the ‘Platinum Four’, so I think that the expectations should be for something extra,” he said. “That being said, this is something that we’ve had in the works for a while.
“We wanted to get this out a little sooner but then the coronavirus happened, which I know is a common excuse, but we hope that when we can start talking about it, it will bring a smile to our fans’ faces and we’ll get a good reaction like, ‘ah, we love those Platinum guys!’”
Kamiya has also stated that fans should not hope for a Bayonetta 3 anytime soon, but his last interview had the video game developer hoping to give updates in the near future.
