Fans of cyberpunk and psychological horror can look forward to some neat new things for the next gen systems release of “Observer: System Redux”, as PS5 gameplay and a new interview video featuring the late great Rutger Hauer has been released.

Additionally, developer Bloober Team has released two video interviews featuring Rutger Hauer — who plays the main character Daniel Lazarski. Hauer — known for his role as Roy Batty in Ridley Scott’s seminal cyberpunk film Blade Runner — passed away on July of last year following an illness. Bloober Team pays tribute to the legendary actor with these two interviews, which were originally shot in 2017.

Originally released in 2017 as “Observer”, System Redux will be an upgraded and expanded version of the original game, and pays tribute to the cyberpunk genre and Hauer’s performance in Blade Runner. The Dutch actor ever chimed in on the experience and how camera and angle play important roles in making the game.

“In filmmaking and also the visual arts, what makes the difference is how the camera… how the angle is and what it looks at. Everything’s subjective because of that angle,” said Hauer as he explored topics touching on his role in the cyberpunk thriller. “How we destroy ourselves and with what depends on how you look at it.”
