Back in 2018, a Harry Potter RPG got leaked with actual gameplay though nothing about it has been announced since then. Apparently, parent company Warner Bros. hasn’t cancelled the project, and this new Harry Potter game will be available on next-gen consoles (PS5, Xbox Series X).

This was revealed by reliable reporter Jason Schreier, who also mentioned that the game is being developed by Avalanche Software (Disney Infinity). The same report mentions that this new Harry Potter game will be an open-world recreation of Hogwarts and its “surrounding areas.”

The title was supposed to be announced at this year’s E3, though given that event has been cancelled along with others due to the global COVID-19 pandemic. The new reveal schedule is sometime “later” this year, though it won’t be at the DC Fandome event set in August where we expect a new game by Rocksteady Studios to be announced.

Based on what we’ve seen so far, this seems to be the Harry Potter game that fans have been waiting for. Hopefully, we won’t have to wait long to see the official unveiling.
