Following the release and success of Spider-Man: Miles Morales, looks like Insomniac Games is going to be generous this holiday season — As they are making “Spider-Man: Remastered” available to purchase on its own for the PS5 for $40 according to a report by Twisted Voxel.

Previously only available as an exclusive bonus with the “Ultimate Edition” PS5 release of Miles Morales, this remaster of 2018’s Spider-Man for the PS4 incorporates the new graphical enhancements such as Ray Tracing, 4K Resolution, and 60fps. However the biggest visual change is undeniably the new face model for Peter Parker, with face model Ben Jordan replacing John Bubniak while Yuri Lowenthal still provides the voice of Peter Parker/ Spider-Man in the game. This change has garnered some mixed reactions from fans, as Jordan’s facial features have been compared to Tom Holland — the current Spider-Man of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Those who have played the original release on PS4 and want to carry over their progress may do so, as save transfers to PS5 have been incorporated by Insomniac Games.

There is a caveat however for those who own the original game and the season pass — You cannot purchase the remaster if you own the 2018 game released for the PS4, as going to page just let’s you download the old version for the PS5. This might be an error on the part of the PlayStation Store, so hopefully it resolves itself in time.
