Here’s a weird update for God of War fans, Sony Santa Monica has released the God of War update 1.34 October 15 patch! Yes, the single-player game released back in 2018 just got a new patch! Now, don’t get excited, as there’s no new content.
God of War Update 1.34 October 15 Patch Notes:
The PS4 only states that the patch is for “various bug fixes,” and that’s about it. Don’t expect Sony Santa Monica to announce any new features as well. While the studio most likely won’t release any official notes, we have an idea what this patch is for.
Just this October 10, Sony Santa Monica that God of War (2018) and God of War III Remastered will be playable on the PS5 via backwards compatibility!

We’re happy to announce that God of War (2018) and God of War III Remastered will be playable on day one via backwards compatibility on the #PS5 !
What makes us believe this update is for that as well? Well, God of War III Remastered just got a new patch today too! Chances are, these two game updates are for backwards compatibility for the PS5 and nothing more. We’ve reached out to Sony just for further clarification. If we get a response, we’ll update the post.
