Capcom is sending us back to the past in a nostalgic new way next month, as the publisher prepares to release Ghosts n’ Goblins Resurrection — their 2.5D reboot of the classic 1985 run n’ gun platformer that sees Arthur embark on a mission to slay monsters and demons in order to save his princess.

Here’s the new trailer via Capcom

Capcom has also released their second Dev Diary feature on the game, which features producer Peter Fabiano as he discusses the picture-book visual themes of the game as well as the new skills Arthur can access in the Demon Realm.

As the official website of the game describes, this is Ghosts n’ Goblins as you’ve never seen it before — something completely new yet familiar at the same time!

Taking cues from both Ghosts ‘n Goblins and
Ghouls ‘n Ghosts to give birth to something entirely new,
Resurrection is a title worthy of its name.

Don’t be fooled—this picturesque storybook world, while gorgeous, is a love-letter to the original titles and
maintains the same punishing gameplay that fans have come to expect.
So go on and test your mettle, for the gauntlet has been thrown!

Ghosts n’ Goblins Resurrections comes exclusively to Nintendo Switch this February 25.
