Announced in March of last year, the first Lord of the Rings: Gollum Screenshots have been released, giving us a sneak peek into this next-gen title.

The images, which come from GameStar, showcase a number of locations from the game along with the character himself, Gollum. While it isn’t based on the Peter Jackson film, one can’t help but notice the resemblance the character shares with the movie version of Gollum. As far as we know, this title is supposed to be closer to the Tolkien books, though that may be more so in line with the story itself rather. Down below you’ll find the first Lord of the Rings: Gollum Screenshots Obviously developers Daedelic are pushing for more of a cartooney are direction, though we can’t say we’re too impressed by the visuals for a next-gen title. Hopefully, it’s stealth focus gameplay it’s focusing on is what impresses. The Lord of the Rings: Gollum is currently targeting a 2021 release day on the PC, Xbox Series X, and the PlayStation 5.

No gameplay has been released yet, though judging by the release of these screenshots we expect to see it very soon. Perhaps during the Summer Game Fest event? It’s anyone’s guess really.
