Looks like gamers and fans who are looking to what comes next after the release of Cyberpunk 2077 have to wait until sometime post-launch, as the developers at CD Projekt Red have stated on a new interview that due to the game’s latest delay, DLC reveals won’t be coming until after the game releases.
In an interview transcribed by Seeking Alpha, CD Projekt Red president and co-CEO Adam Kiciński stated during an earnings call interview that the initial plan was to show the downloadable content reveals around this time when Cyberpunk 2077’s release date was still this November. However now that the game is coming out on December 10, those post-launch DLC details have to wait until some time after the game launches.
“[Indiscernible], when do you plan to announce and start selling season pass for CP 2027? The initial plan was to do before release, but after the recent delay, we decided to wait for the release to provide gamers with the game and then start talking about future projects. So, after release.”
In a fun related note, Kicinski also answered a question in regards to Hollywood star Keanu Reeves — who plays Johnny Silverhand in Cyberpunk 2077, if he has played the game.
“The next question from [indiscernible], has Keanu Reeves played the game? Yes. Yes. He played the game. But as far as I know haven’t finished yet. So — but definitely, he played the game and he loves it.”
