Looks like Metroidvania is coming to a mobile device near you, as Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is coming to iOS and Android.

Developed by famed Castlevania series producer Koji Igarashi, the new IP launched in June last year for consoles and PC, and was a Kickstarter project that began after Igarashi left Konami in 2014. According to US Gamer, ArtPlay Inc. and NetEase Games will release the port:

The mobile versions of Ritual of the Night will support new-to-Bloodstained touch screen controls and will feature a redesigned user interface that’s better suited for small screens and thumb scrolling. Don’t expect too much else in the way of a redesign for mobile—it’ll be the Ritual of the Night you know, not a carved-up “freemium” experience. ArtPlay and NetEase have yet to announce a price for the release.’

While it’s certainly good news that the game’s not going to get a major overhaul for iOS and Android, it’ll definitely be more of a challenge to play it without a controller by your side. No release date has been announced for the mobile version of Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, but the game is currently available for PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch
